Ofoto, an online photo service, is now offering larger print sizes and the Ofoto Archive CD.
You can now order 16 x 20 inch and 20 x 30 inch photographic prints of your pictures. Plus, you can preserve an entire collection of full resolution images stored online at Ofoto on the new Ofoto Archive CD. The larger silver halide prints come on glossy Kodak Professional paper (Ofoto is a Kodak subsidiary) and are full-bleed; in other words, the image fills the entire print area.
A 16 x 20 inch print costs US$14.99; a 20 x 30 inch print is $19.99. The recommended image resolution for these larger print sizes is at least 1600 x 1200 pixels. Customers can also use Ofoto’s free online tools, such as photo borders, calendars and color tints to enhance photos in these new sizes.
OfotoNow is Ofoto’s tool for additional photo enhancing and editing before uploading images to Ofoto.com for processing. The Mac version lets you visually select digital pictures from any source, view the pictures one at a time, look at collections of pictures all at once, or view them in a slideshow. The OfotoNow software also allows zoom-in, rotate, trim and “red eye” removal from photos.
Once photos are selected and enhanced, OfotoNow enables its members to upload any number of photos into the Ofoto Albums of their choice and then share with friends and family and order high-quality photographic prints.
If you’d like to obtain all of your full resolution images on an Ofoto Archive CD, it will contain all the pictures you’ve edited and enhanced using Ofoto’s online tools, along with the original images. Pics are organized by album. The Ofoto Archive CD is Mac and Windows compatible and is priced according to the number of images a customer has at Ofoto, starting at $9.95.
