Web Techniques magazine has offered up its third annual list of Web Tools Award Winners and Apple is on the list. The company received an award for Mac OS X Server. The winners were announced yesterday at the Web 2001 Conference & Expo at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA.
Apple’s Mac OS X Server product took the 2001 Editor’s Choice award in the Infrastructure category. This is the first time Apple has received an award from Web Techniques, and it was the only category an Apple product was nominated for. Web Techniques describes the award winners as products “that have played a force in shaping (or shaking) the industry in the past year.”
Other categories in the Web Tools Awards include Strategy, Design and Development. Nominees include Adobe, Macromedia, Corel, Deneba, Microsoft, Oracle, Sun and others.
Other winners in the Infrastructure category included Zope Corp.’s Zope, which took the Reader’s Choice award, and IBM’s DB2, which took an honorable mention.
