The Macintosh version is currently in the works at the studios of Westlake Interactive, who called the project “Stanley” on their product status Web page (it’s a reference to Stan Lee, publisher of Marvel Comics, home to Spider-Man). The project is currently marked as being in “early development.”
Spider-Man is a third-person action game with adventure elements in which players take the role of high school student Peter Parker, who is imbued with tremendous powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider. As Spider-Man, Parker uses abilities like Spider-Sense to perceive danger, and uses superhuman strength and agility to overcome his adversaries. Spider-Man can also shimmy up walls, shoot webs and swing across vast distances as he takes on foes like Scorpion, Venom, Rhino and The Green Goblin.
The Mac conversion of the Spider-Man is currently in development, and Aspyr can’t yet offer system requirements for the game. We’ll provide more details and release schedule info as they become available.
