“We will be opening three ComputerWare stores to start and there will be more,” Thomas Armes, Elite Computers & Software president and CEO, told MacCentral.
The first store will open this Saturday, September 15, in San Rafael. The opening will feature product demonstrations from several vendors, including Apple, as well as hourly prize drawings for a variety of Macintosh products. An Apple expert will be on hand from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm to show off Mac OS X version 10.1.
“We are thrilled to have an Apple expert at our grand opening to demonstrate the new version of Mac OS X,” said Armes.
If you want to stop by, the San Rafael store is located at 1031 “C” Street in San Rafael, and will be open from 10 am until 7 pm for the Grand Opening Party.
The other two stores slated to re-open are located in Capitola and Sunnyvale, also former ComputerWare locations, according to Armes. There is no date set for the opening of these locations.
“We are truly excited to be both expanding our business and bringing back ComputerWare, one of the best known Mac retail brands in the Macintosh market”, said Armes. “We believe strongly in the Macintosh platform and the incredible business opportunity here in the San Francisco Bay Area.”
