In the wake of the success of the Apple User Groups Europe Day during the Apple Expo 2000, the interest in a structure for European AUGs (Apple User Groups) became obvious. Consequently, MacEurope.net was created by
InterMac of France and
Gr.U.M.F. la Pomme sans Pépins of Belgium with the representatives of the Apple User Group Program.
“By establishing and formalizing mutual links and exchanges between European associative structures and by supporting a network operation, MacEurope.net pursues the objective to increase the service potential and the sharing of resources and experiences (such as common use of exchange structures and forums) that can be proposed to the affiliated members of each structure and pertaining to assistance in the use of their equipment,” Alain Pougeoise of InterMac told MacCentral.
MacEurope Web site is now under construction. And, as we
reported yesterday, the first European Mac User Group Forum sponsored by Apple will be held on Sept. 29, 10:30 a.m., in Paris in conjunction with Apple Expo. Apple Expo 2001 will be held at the Paris Expo in Porte de Versailles, Sept. 26-30. CEO Steve Jobs will give the opening keynote address at Apple Expo 2001 in Paris on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 9:00 a.m. (CET) in the Palais de Congres.
