The interface sports 24-bit, 96kHz capability and works with any USB-equipped Mac. It’s currently in development for Windows, too, but that version isn’t expected to ship until later this year. The device features balanced or unbalanced line inputs and outputs that are +4dB/-10dB switchable on 1/4 inch TRS connectors. The USB AudioSport Quattro also features direct monitoring switches for each stereo input pair, which means that users will experience zero-latency record monitoring, according to M Audio. It can also be paired with the Omni I/O, which adds preamps, inserts, mixing, routing and headphone monitoring capabilities.
The 4×4 audio interface of the USB AudioSport Quattro operates as a 4×4 audio interface at 16-bit 44.1kHz and 48kHz sampling rates. Other configurations are available in 24-bit modes, and the system can also function in single direction 24-bit/96kHz mode as well.
The USB AudioSport Quattro includes ASIO drivers and OMS MIDI drivers. Opcode’s OMS is required, and included. The new US$349.95 interface can be purchased at local music retailers and via the M-Audio e-store.
