SAS Institute Inc. business unit JMP today announced that it is releasing the first localized version of its JMP statistical discovery software. The new release is targeted at Japanese users, who according to JMP comprise the largest market for the software outside the US.
SAS executive VP John Sall lauds his company’s Japanese JMP business unit with continued success in the Japanese market since its establishment in 1998. “The JMP Japanese edition will provide Japanese users with easier access to our software and will, in turn, provide tremendous growth to the JMP Division,” said Sall.
SAS Japan JMP business unit manager Noriki Inoue said that JMP’s customers include users in the pharmaceuticals, semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industries, as well as academic researchers.
JMP 4 is the latest iteration of the company’s statistical analysis software. The product is available for both Windows and Mac OS.
