PineHill Products has updated CreativePage, its customizable Web site creation package for the Mac OS and Mac OS X operating systems, to version 2.8.
CreativePage lets you create and edit Web sites with a variety of Web assistants and other tools. It sports 30 HTML assistants to help you add a table, link, image and other items into your Web page. You can open and edit any HTML document, insert a format using the formatting menu and preview your work in your favorite browser before you save it. CreativePage has backup and autosave options, search features, syntax coloring, HTML tag auto fill, a built-in FTP client for uploading to your Web site, a note pad, an HTML Picker (for getting the correct and exact HTML color code), and more. It also lets you optimize HTML for faster loading on the Web.
According to MacTech magazine, new features of CreativePage 2.8 include a new preview in browser system (which adds two new browsers), an improved interface; new options for shortcuts, preferences; a Get Page from Web feature added; and more. Plus, there’s now the ability to choose which Web browser you would like to preview your Web page in.
To use CreativePage, you’ll need a Power Mac running either Mac OS X or Mac OS 8.6 or later, with 4MB of RAM and 4MB of hard drive space available. The Mac OS X version is a 900 k download; the Mac OS 8.1-9.1 version is 750 k. You can grab a demo version, at the PineHill Products Web site. The shareware product has a US$29.95 registration fee.
