Peripheral maker Keyspan today announced the shipment of new silver USB hubs that it said complement the designs of Apple’s new “Quicksilver” Power Mac G4 systems. The company is selling USB hubs in both desktop and laptop variations.
Both hubs feature four USB ports, support dual power models and comply with USB 1.1 specifications. The mini-hub version also sports a low power design that helps to extend the battery life of a laptop.
The desktop version — model UH-4ASL — retails for US$39 and the new Mini Hub — UGH-4SL — costs $49. Look for them in stores and catalogs.
Keyspan’s other products include PCI expansion cards with USB and FireWire ports; serial to USB adapters; hubs; and the Digital Media Remote, a device that enables you to remotely control your Mac;
