The Cobra+ incorporates dual 6-pin FireWire ports, a built-in universal auto switching power supply, an integrated cooling fan, and a 6 foot FireWire cable. The 100GB drive also comes with Intech’s SpeedTools software for formatting. Like all Cobra+ drives, the system ships with the “Pro-Mar” exterior chassis.
Look for the new drive to be available at EZQuest dealers worldwide. The Cobra+ 100GB drive carries a suggested retail price of US$489. It comes with a two-year warranty.
In related news, the company has announced plans to donate $1 to the American Red Cross for every Boa or Cobra drive sold between now and October 14, in memory of the tragic events that took place in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania on Tuesday, September 11.
