Ulead Systems Inc. today introduced its first Mac-compatible software offering — Ulead Photo Explorer for Mac. The media management application is being made available to OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) who are looking for software to bundle with their digital imaging products. Ulead Photo Explorer for Mac is the counterpart to the company’s similarly named offering for Windows users — Ulead Photo Explorer 7.0 Pro.
Ulead Photo Explorer for Mac offers tools to help users acquire, organize and share digital images, video and other media files on the Mac, according to Ulead. The software incorporates support for TWAIN technology, enabling users to grab images from scanners and other TWAIN-compliant hardware, or via Photoshop using a Plug-in.
Photo Explorer for Mac also features the ability to preview images with thumbnail views, drag-and-drop support between folders, file sorting by name, date, size and type, and batch renaming of digital camera files. Users can also perform one-button rotations, red eye removal and color, brightness and contrast adjustments. The software can also help users share files via e-mail, print and create slideshows.
Companies interested in including Ulead Photo Explorer for Mac with their digital cameras, scanners and Webcams are encouraged to contact Ulead’s OEM sales office by e-mail or by calling 310.896.6388.
