At the Seybold San Francisco conference, Extensis today announced that its Suitcase font management solution would be available for Mac OS X on Nov. 19.
Suitcase provides users with the ability to organize the myriad fonts they have installed on their system. Users can activate sets of fonts, search, view and use fonts, create sets specific to applications and much more. Suitcase for Mac OS X will be available to all registered owners of Suitcase 10 at no additional charge.
“Extensis is committed to being the leading font management provider for Mac OS X,” said Craig Keudell, Extensis’ general manager, in an announcement. “Suitcase users will benefit from Mac OS X’s direct support for OpenType and TrueType fonts and we are pleased to deliver the Mac OS X version of Suitcase to existing Suitcase 10 subscribers free of charge.”
Suitcase 10 added the capability for users to connect to Suitcase Server and synchronize fonts and files, including graphics, photos and text files. For additional information on version 10, go to the product Web site.
