There’s a new version, 2.1.1, of Apple’s iMovie digital video editing system available. Unfortunately, there were no details available for what has changed with the update.
iMovie 2.0, which debuted in July, provided enhanced audio editing. It also added lots of new effects, such as slowing down a clip, speeding up a clip, reversing the direction a clip plays, and making a film clip or part of a clip appear in “sepia” tones. iMovie is included free with all Macs. You can also purchase it for US$49 at Apple’s online store.
You can download the iMovie 2.1.1 updater (a 7.7 MB file) at the product Web site. It requires Mac OS 9.1 or higher (including Mac OS X), iMovie 2.0 or higher, and QuickTime 4.1.2 or higher.
