By now, you’re probably familiar with the gist of Apple Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller’s keynote presentation to attendees of this week’s Seybold Conference & Expo — the graphic design and publishing-related event happening at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. But if you’re interested in seeing it for yourself, you now can, thanks to Apple and QuickTime.
Schiller used his time on stage Tuesday to talk about Apple’s release of Mac OS X version 10.1, the first major upgrade to Apple’s new operating system since its release this past March. Schiller was introduced by Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who also provided keynote attendees with an update on Mac OS X version 10.1’s release, calling it “the mainstream release” of the new operating system.
Schiller and company demonstrated various facets of 10.1’s operation and also showed off some other goodies, such as iDVD 2, the latest major upgrade to Apple’s consumer-friendly DVD mastering software. ColorSync 4 was mentioned, along with the new AppleScript Studio development environment, and various Mac OS X-friendly applications were demonstrated.
