The mouse’s optical sensors each have a resolution of 800 dots per inch, twice the resolution previous sensors have provided. The sensors are positioned at 45-degree angles to each other. This results in smooth cursor movements and increased precision, even when the mouse is moved rapidly, according to Logitech.
The design of the mouse is similar to the Cordless MouseMan Optical (it is hard-wired, however). It is contoured to right handed use, and incorporates four buttons, including a clickable scrollwheel. It ships with Logitech’s iTouch driver software.
Look for the MouseMan Dual Optical to hit stores in the U.S. this month with a suggested retail price of US$49.95. System requirements call for Mac OS 8.6 or higher.
