Apple today offered new details about its first retail Apple Store for Northern California. Located in Palo Alto, CA., the store will be opening next week on University Avenue.
The Palo Alto store is considered by many observers to be one of Apple’s flagship retail locations, because of its proximity to both Apple’s headquarters — located in nearby Cupertino — and to Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ residence.
Like other stores, the Palo Alto location will be decked out with the latest Apple hardware and software, with areas where people can get first-hand experience with how Macs can interface with digital cameras, PDAs, MP3 players, consumer and professional equipment.
Located at 451 University Avenue, the store’s grand opening is planned for Saturday, October 6. The store will be open from 10 a.m. to Midnight on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 7. Visit the Apple Web site for details and directions.
