A personal demo of WebEx for the Mac — which enables you to meet and collaborate with any number of people, anywhere in the world, right from your desktop — is now available online.
Touted as the “100 percent cross-platform solution for PC, Mac and Unix, allowing everyone to view, discuss and edit the same document or application,” WebEx for Macintosh lets you: plan and brainstorm with off-site colleagues and teams; share applications and edit documents in real-time; and allow all attendees to save what’s been produced.
All you need is a Web browser and a phone. If you’re averse to sales pitches, be warned that if you sign up for the personal demo, a WebEx “Solutions Specialist” will want to spend about a half hour walking you through the features of the service. If you sign up for the personal demo by Oct. 18, you’re entitled to a free meeting limited to one company or corporation with a length of one hour and a maximum of 10 total attendees. The meeting “must be of a business-related nature for the benefit of a going concern.”
