iBuild Lite/Pro 1.1 public beta 1 is now available from Acrux Software. The HyperCard-like multimedia authoring package has been Carbonized so stacks and standalone applications developed with it will run on both Mac OS X natively and under Mac OS 8.6-9.2 with the CarbonLib extensions installed.
You can use iBuild to create a vast range of “stacks” and applications including interactive presentations, photo-albums, movie-albums, slideshows, e-books, educational courseware, quizzes and tests, talking books, games, standalone applications, and kiosk contents. As of public beta 1, the user interface has also been improved and several bug have been fixed, according to MacTech magazine (http://www.mactech.com).
Registered iBuild Pro 1.0.3 users can use their current registrations code to unlock the public beta. Those who purchase a registration code during the public beta testing period will be provided with a free downloadable update when version 1.1 is released, and free updates for a further period of one year after that.
You can download iBuild Lite/Pro version 1.1 public beta 1 (a 5.2 MB file) from the
beta Web site.
