Rage Software and DerazSoft have released WebDesign 1.2.1, an update to the Mac HTML Editor that lets you visually create HTML elements, including forms and image maps and insert them into your document. The update adds Mac OS X 10.1 compatibility.
WebDesign lets users download a Web site and also offers the ability to condense text, create image maps and other HTML components visually. WebDesign’s properties window can be used to edit tag attributes and browse local and remote volumes while editing Web pages.
The HTML editor sports a drag and drop tools palette, customizable toolbar, advanced syntax coloring, and the ability to upload and download files to your FTP server. You can also use the app to translate Web pages into multiple languages.
Besides Mac OS X 10.1 compatibility, version 1.2.1 also fixes some issues with version 1.2. Specifically it fixes a crash when occasionally dragging an object into the text editor and a few memory leaks. Additionally, the file browser has been improved in this update. It’s a free upgrade to registered users, according to MacTech magazine.
The upgrade is free to registered users. A standard license for WebDesign is US$29.95. A site license is $399.95 (299.95 academic), and a worldwide license is $799.95 ($699.95 academic). WebDesign can be downloaded from the Rage Software Web site or the DerazSoft Web site.
