New book looks at integrating Macromedia Web tools

has released a new book, “Integrating Flash, Fireworks, and FreeHand f/x and Design: Solutions for Web Design Workflow,” by Joyce J. Evans.
The US$49.95 book (ISBN: 1588801632) is targeted to intermediate to advanced Web developers, and comes with a CD-ROM. It’s designed to teach how to bring together Macromedia’s popular Web design tools into one integrated workflow. It has instructions on how to prepare and export images made in FreeHand for use with Fireworks and Flash.
“Integrating Flash, Fireworks, and FreeHand f/x and Design” offers techniques for exporting Fireworks designs compatibly with FreeHand and Flash and how to edit images generated in FreeHand and Fireworks within Flash. The accompanying CD-ROM includes: trial versions of Fireworks, FreeHand, and Flash; movies demonstrating techniques discussed in the book; clip art demo with 500 pieces; demo plug-ins; and stand-alone, third-party applications.
The author, Joyce Evans, is a Web designer, technical editor, and an avid user of Fireworks, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and other graphic programs. She’s authored “Fireworks 4 f/x & Design,” contributed to “Dreamweaver 4: The Complete Reference,” and has reviewed over 150 graphic design titles. Currently, Evans is writing Web reviews, tutorials, and articles for Web Review, DT&G Graphic Design, The Internet Eye, and Art Today.
For “Integrating Flash, Fireworks, and FreeHand f/x and Design,” the author has pulled together the expertise such designers as Hillman Curtis, author of “Flash Web Design”; Scott Hamlin, author of “Flash 5 Magic”; Tracy Kelly, coauthor of “Inside Flash”; and Ian Kelleigh, the architect behind
