Version 2.5 of MusicMatch Jukebox is now available for US$19.95 from MusicMatch. It lets you play CDs, AIFF, MP3 and WMA files.
The new version also offers multiple-track tagging, enhanced CD burning, and a multi-band equalizer. MusicMatch Jukebox 2.5 lets you download playlists to portable players. It boasts line-in recording and new interface designs.
Described as “the word’s first all-in-one music jukebox software,” MusicMatch Jukebox enables Mac users to play digital music on their Macs. The software comes with a content CD containing 75 free audio files encoded using the MP3 format. The files span a wide range of music genres, according to MusicMatch.
MusicMatch Jukebox provides users with the ability to record MP3 audio files from their personal CD collections. Users can play audio CDs using the software, too. MusicMatch Jukebox can be used to catalog user’s audio collections using the software’s integrated Music Library. The MusicMatch Guide also provides custom music recommendations for users looking for new music and provides access to free MP3 files from major labels and independent artists alike.
MusicMatch Jukebox 2.5 requires Power Mac G3 or better, Mac OS 8.6 or higher (including Mac OS X) and speakers/headphones.
