If you’re a fan of real time strategy games, you might be interested to know that German Mac game developer and publisher e.p.i.c. interactive has announced plans to convert to the Mac the 3D real time strategy game series Earth 2150.
The first game in the series will be Earth 2150: Escape from the Blue Planet, which e.p.i.c. said should be available for Macintosh gamers sometime this winter. Further installments of the series, Earth 2150: The Moon Project and Earth 2150: Lost Souls, will “follow at a later date,” according to the company.
Earth 2150 puts players in control of forces vying for the limited resources available on a future devastated Earth.
e.p.i.c. explained that it has signed a contract to develop and publish Mac conversions of the Earth 2150 series with Zuxxez Entertainment. Zuxxez recently acquired the games division of Earth 2150 developer TopWare Interactive.
e.p.i.c. has brought a number of games to the Macintosh in recent months, including The Feeble Files, Knights & Merchants, Simon the Sorcerer II, and Earth 2140, the previous installment of the same series they announced today. If you live in North America, you can find their titles distributed by online Mac product reseller Mac-O-Rama. More details specifically about Earth 2150 can be found on the official Web site.
