Tomorrow in Washington, DC the mayor will host an open town hall called the Washington DC Citizens Summit. Why is this of interest to Mac users? It turns out that 300-plus iBooks (including over 200 of the newer iBooks) will be used to help create an interactive meeting environment.
The expected turn out is between 3,000 to 4,000 citizens. The company implementing the open house is Covision, which specializes in the facilitation of collaboration projects. The summit will be held at the Washington DC Convention Center.
“We will have the iBooks networked via Airport, which will let citizens give their input into the Cities Strategic Plan,” Todd Erickson, Covision’s Eastern region manager, told MacCentral. “We are using our interactive groupware system, Council to facilitate this.”
