The User Group Advisory Board will again organize User Group University (UGU) for Macworld Expo San Francisco 2002.
UGU is a day-long series of seminars, presentations and meetings for Macintosh User Group (MUG) leaders from around the world. The event will be held on Jan. 7, 2002 (the day before Macworld Expo starts). Details on location, registration and program will be announced soon. User Group University is open to all Macintosh User Group leaders and interested parties.
MUG members can attend Macworld San Francisco 2002 for discounted prices (including for free). MUG members can get a free exhibits-only pass from now until Oct. 15 — or take advantage of 15 percent off any conference package, including the new Macworld/Power Tools Conferences, Platinum Pass package and Macworld/Pro Conference Day Pass. Complete details are available at The MUG Center, an online resource for user groups.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s User Group Web page.
Macworld Expo San Francisco 2002 will take place Jan. 8-11 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, Calif. For details go to the Macworld Expo Web site.
