Brother has released Mac OS X drivers for many of its printers and SOHO (small office/home office) devices. The list of drivers can be found at the company’s Mac OS X Web site.
There are some things you should be aware of. Printer drivers compatible with Mac OS 9 will work with Mac OS X in Classic mode if Multiple Users is disabled. Brother says it plans to support printing for all the models listed on its Mac OS X Web site. Some will be supported immediately, others are in development.
Scanner drivers compatible with Mac OS 9 will NOT work with Mac OS X. Scanner drivers are being developed and will be available at a future date, according to Brother.
