ProVUE Development today announced the release of Panorama 4.0.1. The new version is a maintenance release, but the company pointed out that it integrates several significant new features. Panorama is a RAM-based database application created for both Mac and Windows.
New features included in this update to Panorama include:
Automatic guides — alignment guides that are automatically displayed when objects are moved or resized with the arrow keys. Improved image support — the software’s optional Enhanced Image Pack now includes support for GIF, LZW compressed TIF and Photoshop file formats. It also sports improved compatibility for JPEG images and can print sharp reduced images (like thumbnails) on the Mac. Wizards — A new Wizard Manager helps keep wizard applications organized. The software also now features a Search All Fields wizard, Mini Statistics wizard and Arrange Windows wizard. Personal Use License — With this version, Panorama supports a personal use license option that allows Panorama to be used on multiple computers used by the same person. The option is available for a nominal extra fee. Maintenance — Panorama 4.0.1 fixes over 50 bugs, but most of them were on the Windows version to begin with. System requirements for Panorama 4.0.1 call for a PowerPC-based Mac; Mac OS 7.6 or later (Panorama runs in “Classic” mode on Mac OS X; 16MB available RAM (32MB recommended); and 8-75 MB available hard disk space.
