Mac game publisher Aspyr Media has announced that they’re accepting pre-orders for Otto Matic and iPuppet Presents: Colin’s Classic Cards. Otto Matic is available for pre-order for US$34.95, while iPuppet Presents: Colin’s Classic Cards will cost $29.95.

Otto Matic is a 3D action game created by Pangea Software, makers of Bugdom and Cro-Mag Rally. You take the role of Otto Matic, a heroic robot straight from the annals of b-movie science fiction epics. Otto must rescue innocent humans from being kidnapped by malevolent fleshy-headed aliens and their thralls through multiple levels. The game features fantastic visual effects and top-notch arcade-style gameplay.
Preliminary system requirements for Otto Matic call for an iMac DV or G3/266Mhz or faster with a RAGE 128 or better video card; 96MB RAM; Mac OS 8.6 thru 9.2 or 10.1; OpenGL 1.2.1.

If card games are more your style, you’ll probably be interested in iPuppet Presents: Colin’s Classic Cards, a new game in development by Freeverse Software, makers of many popular shareware-based card and board games for the Mac. Freeverse and Aspyr are collaborating to publish the new package, which includes versions of popular parlour card games like Hearts, Spades, Euchre and Pitch. Both single player and multiplayer gaming is supported, and Colin’s Classic Cards features extensive customization capabilities, as well — you can create an “iPuppet” that looks like you, if you wish, or change backgrounds, adjust skill level, change the music and more.
System requirements for Colin’s Classic Cards call for Mac OS 8.6 through 9.2 and Mac OS X as well; G3/233 or faster; CarbonLib 1.4 or later; 20MB RAM; 250 MB hard drive space; QuickTime 4 or later; an Internet connection at 28.8 Kbps or faster for online play.
