Deneba announced today they are shipping Canvas 8 for Mac OS X, the company’s all-in-one graphics composition and desktop publishing tool. The new version contains hundreds of enhancements and new features including vector and raster Sequence recording and support for AppleScript, ColorSync and QuickTime.
“We are very pleased to continue our longstanding commitment to the Mac,” said Manny Menendez, president of Deneba Software in announcing the product. “Canvas 8 for OS X provides the Mac community with a very robust product that can handle any graphics project easily.”
Canvas 8 also includes customizable Web image slicing as well as direct Flash and PDF export capabilities, according to Deneba.

Canvas 8 Professional Edition for Mac OS X has an estimated street price of US$399.95. Registered owners of competitive graphics products can purchase Canvas 8 for US$249.95. Educational and corporate discounts are also available. Registered users of Canvas 7 for Mac can upgrade to Canvas 8 for Mac OS X for $129.95, while owners of previous versions can upgrade for $169.95. These upgrade prices are valid through December 31, 2001.
