Guardian Unlimited’s aptly-named Hamish Mackintosh recently interviewed Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. The interview, entitled Inside Apple’s Core, has been posted online.
Woz speaks about Apple’s founding and his own background as a member of the Homebrew Computer Club. He also talks about building the first Apple computer and the company’s start as a garage project involving himself, Steve Jobs and a few other folks.
Mackintosh also asked him some questions about his perspective today. Woz told the journalist that the Titanium-clad PowerBook G4 “is probably the best Macintosh that Apple has ever made.” Woz also wishes that things had turned out differently both for the Cube and the Newton MessagePad. “The Newton was probably the most special machine that I have ever used. I regularly took outlined notes with regular handwriting,” Woz explained.
