Eridanus has released Archer version 1.0.4. This release addresses a problem that resulted in screen garbage being displayed instead of image information, according to Mike Trivisonno of Eridanus. Fixing the problem also produced a modest increase in performance, he added.
Archer is a small slide show player that supports audio and video as well as still images. Archer supports multiple players running at the same time each with their own set of images, speed setting and size. You can also append images to the slide show. When not in full-screen mode, a scroll bar is available to navigate through the images.
“Archer provides a no-nonsense approach to program control,” Trivisonno said. “While all commands can be executed using menus and command keys, Archer also provides many single-keystroke equivalents. For example, instead of selecting Import Images from the File menu, Archer permits you to simply hit the ‘I’ key.”
Archer can be downloaded from the Eridanus Web site. And it’s free.
