MP3 Menu, a Contextual Menu plug-in that displays an MP3 files ID3 tag and encoding information directly in the Mac OS 9’s Finder’s Contextual Menu (which is displayed when you control-click a file’s icon) has been released.
With MP3 Menu you can copy the shown ID3 information to the clipboard by selecting one of MP3 Menus menu entries. Plus, MP3 Menu lets you automatically rename an MP3 file according to its ID3 tag information and change its type creator information, according to MacTech magazine.
The utility comes with a control panel that lets you customize what information and commands you want to add to your Contextual Menu. You can customize how the rename command should work and add more type/creator information there, as well.
MP3 Menu is a shareware product. A single user license costs US$10 and can be purchased online. MP3 Menu requires Mac OS 8.5 or later (there’s no Mac OS X version), 1MB of free RAM, and 1MB of available hard disk space.
