Chaos Master, Casady & Green’s file-management utility that controls clutter and improves performance of your drive, is now up to version 1.2.2. The update fixes a bug that arises when using Wizard Mode or when having Chaos Master recommend files to remove in “Duplicate Files” or “Duplicate Applications” in the Advanced tab.
This issue occurs when users have two System Folders on the same partition, according to C&G spokesperson Bonnie Mitchell. In some cases, this circumstance has caused files from the Active System folder to be moved to the trash. Chaos Master now distinguishes between the Active System folder and any other systems in this partition, and checks for Duplicate Files or Duplicate Applications without accessing the Active System Folder.
Registered owners of Chaos Master v1.2x may download version 1.2.2 free. New users can purchase the application for US$39.95 for an electronic download or $49.95 for a retail version.
