There’ll be a slight delay in the Toon Boom Studio/Mac OS X 10.1 fix that was due this week. It’s now due to be available free on Toon Boom’s Web site at the end of this month.
As we reported on Oct. 10 Toon Boom Studio, an award-winning animation application for Mac OS X, won’t save files under the latest version of Mac OS X.
Toon Boom Studio is designed to bring many of the capabilities of Toon Boom’s high-end product, USAnimation, to the designers and creators of character animations for the Web. Toon Boom Studio takes advantage of the Aqua interface of Mac OS X and the Quartz graphics engine.
It uses QuickTime for Flash playback, media import and, in the next release, real-time playback. Toon Boom also integrates with Web publishing programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe GoLive, Adobe LiveMotion, Macromedia Flash and Macromedia Dreamweaver.
