Mac Business Solutions, a company in the Washington, DC area, is offering new iMacs for US$499. And it’s apparently not the only one.
The store is receiving a limited number of iMacs from Apple to sell at $499. This is a deal that Apple is making with select Apple resellers in the New York and Washington DC to help areas affected by the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The iMac being offered is Indigo with a 400MHz Power PC G3 chip, 64MB of SDRAM, a 10GB Ultra ATA hard drive, and CD-ROM drive. However, these iMacs can only be sold to residents in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia and New York.
“I just bought one, you can’t beat the $499 price, and it helps the local economy,” MacCentral reader Vernon Sebastian Goertz said.
