In our next Forward Migration Kit, we’ll be looking at, by request, applications that let a Mac work with preprinted checks.
There are programs that will let a Mac do this, but some Mac users are looking for software similar to Versacheck and Checksnet from the Windows world. These programs let you create the whole check using special check paper, putting all the necessary bank codes where they belong, and let you include your company logo, choice of font, etc., in the checks you print.
If you or your company uses such software, makes such software or knows of such software, please send your information to dsellers@maccentral.com by Tuesday, Oct. 23. And if you know of a Forward Migration story, please send it my way.
(Forward Migration is our term for companies moving from Wintel machines to Macs — or at least adding or increasing the number of Macs they use. A Forward Migration Kit is an overview of Mac OS products for a particular occupation, such as photography, optometry, etc.)
