IOGEAR, which makes connectivity and peripheral devices, has announced its USB KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) peripheral sharing capability that’s Mac and Windows compatible.
The company’s two and four port USB KVM switches come equipped with peripheral plug-ins, allowing users to share USB add-on devices, as well as traditional KVM benefits, according to company spokesperson Katie Assar. The MiniView USB device enables two or four separate computers to be accessed from a single console over a USB connection.
The products also come equipped with two peripheral plug-ins, allowing users to share USB devices such as printers and scanners. The switches have a manufacturers suggested retail price of US$149 and $199 respectively and are available now.
IOGEAR’s MiniView USB KVM switch is designed with a large push button top panel switch for convenient personal computer access and offers a logical connector layout for more efficient cabling, said Miranda Su, IOGEAR’s director of sales and marketing. The product comes equipped with 2048 x 1536 VGA resolution, built-in AutoScan function, two premium bonded cables and a LED display.
IOGEAR is currently offering a mail-in rebate promotion that allows customers to receive $20 to $30 back for the purchase of a MiniView USB KVM.
