Several companies will be introducing and showing off their products at the upcoming MacExpo.
MacExpo is an UK event that features the latest in Macintosh products and solutions, including special areas for games and edutainment, developers, design and art, music and audio, and more. The show will be held at the Business Design Centre in London, Nov. 22-24.
4 Sight will be demoing Transmission Manager 6.0 and Transmission Director 7.0 packages with “industry smart” plug-ins for workflow management and reporting. Apple UK Training will unveil new courses for Microsoft’s Office X.
Alisa/Wavefront will showcase the Maya 3D animation and effects software package running on Mac OS X. Alta Technology will promote three products: PowerWave (a USB device designed for music lovers that combines audio recording and playback facilities), PowerMate Universal (a device that controls the volume of your computer and audio applications), and Vsync (a video adapter for connecting older Mac monitors to the newer G4s). Contour Design will tout their Contour Shuttle Pro and Mini Pro Titanium optical mouse. Creative Publishing Solutions will be displaying a range of Heidelberg desktop scanners, including the Linoscan 1800, 2200 and 2650. DuraWeld will be showing “compupack” solutions for archiving and storing CDs and DVDs.
Hersmstedt will turn the spotlight on two Mac OS X compatible products, LeoShare 2.0 and Webshuttle ll. IBM will be previewing ViaVoice for Mac OS X. LaCie will show off their new DVD combination drives, the FireWire 120GB external hard drive, and a 48GB pocket sized hard drive. MacAcademy will be unveiling several new training courses.
Macally will draw attention to its Optical Trackball, Optical MicroMouse, the Airstick (a programmable motion sensing joystick), and iShock2 (a gamepad with force feedback for the Mac). Mac Unlimited will promote a new range of hosting services. Microtek will promote their ScanMaker 3800, Microtek Edge Design, and ScanMaker 8700 products with special show pricing. Minolta-QMS will feature its “magicolour” 6110GN laser printer.
OakTree Software, will unveil several new CD-ROMs, including a Mac OS X native version of the Accordance Bible software. The Open Space, a specialist video production, effects and content creation company, will have its official launch. Realviz will showcase Stitcher 3.1and ImageModeler 3.0.
Smart Disk Europe will let the FireFly flitter. It’s described as “the world’s smallest, lightest hard drive.” Softchaos will tout Workstrip 1.5, a tool designed to simplify work processes by reducing search times, organizing separate applications, remembering previously opened documents and applications, and enabling instant previews of files. Team Agenda/Xgeneration will unwrap version 4 of their cross platform software that enables a group of uses to access other diaries within an organization.
