The folks at Gideon Softworks have updated two of their Mac OS X applications.
Get Info 0.8 is the latest version of the US$10 utility that lets you set file permissions, change the owner of a file, and change the group of a file. It reduces the need for the user to go to the command line to perform these simple tasks, according to David Clark of Gideon Softworks. The latest version adds new Dock menu items and removes the Get Info Dockling. There are also various bug fixes.
SSH Helper 0.2 is a free utility for controlling the folks who are allowed to access your account. It lets you generate new OpenSSH keys, view/export your Public Keys, and set up and control the SSH Server. The update adds a new “wizard” for easier setup of an OpenSSH system. There’s also a new user interface and there’s integrated all SSH Administration functionality.
