Technology and Learning Conference
(T+L) is coming to the George World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA November 8-10 and Apple will be there in full force according to info
posted to their Web site. The event draws educators from around the country to find out the latest trends in technology and education.
Apple plans to use the event to highlight the array of solutions it has developed for educators, including:
Apple’s mobile solutions — the iBook, PowerBook G4 and the iBook Mobile Wireless Lab.
The Digital Hub for Education — helping to draw students into digital learning by making them a part of interactive media; using digital video, digital cameras, scanners and other elements in the classroom.
PowerSchool — the Web-based student information system that Apple acquired earlier this year.
Mac OS X — As Apple puts it, OS X “brings the stability of UNIX with the simplicity and elegance of the Macintosh.”
Apple will be exhibiting at booth 1004, and the company is occupying room 264 for a slew of workshops to be offered Thursday through Saturday. All the details are available at Apple’s Web site link above.
Apple is also going to offer a wireless network to users throughout the exhibit hall, registration and workshops area. The company also will have an iBook loaner program on hand — 100 new iBooks will be available daily to attendees on a first-come, first-serve basis. Apple said if you register online now, you can reserve an iBook for your use at T+L.
