and Fisher-Price have teamed up for a new title developed for kids ages 4-7. Rescue Heroes Meteor Madness is based on the popular line of Rescue Heroes preschool toys. The game is an immersive action adventure title that puts kids in the role of action heroes modeled after real-life heroes, like firemen, paramedics and beach lifeguards.
In this new game, a storm of meteorites has unleashed a series of natural disasters. It’s up to the Rescue Heroes to complete rescue missions at different trouble spots around the world, including:
Outback Nature Preserve, where players help Billy Blazes and Ariel Flyer put out brush fires that threaten the Australian outback;
Alpine Slopes, where players get to snowboard with Al Pine and help Wind Chill the St. Bernard to find stranded skiers;
Seaside Studios, where players help Gil Gripper to navigate a maze of flooded movie sets overtaken by a tidal wave to rescue stranded actors;
and Klondike Canyons, where players help Rocky Canyon and Jake Justice rescue stranded hikers.
Kids have an array of gadgets and vehicles to control in each rescue mission, and the game features three levels of difficulty. The game experience also changes each time kids sign in to maximize replay value. Kids also get a printable rescue action scene each time they complete a mission.
Rescue Heroes Meteor Madness ships on a hybrid CD-ROM compatible with Windows and Mac OS for US$19.99.
