Trivision Technologies, has announced the formal release of E-onCampus Professional Development 1.0. E-onCampus is a Mac compatible, Web-based system that manages a school district’s professional development program, including training curriculum, course enrollment and credential status.
E-onCampus Professional Development 1.0 enables a district to proactively track and manage all aspects of the professional development of its entire staff including administrators, teachers, new hires, uncertified and emergency credentialed, substitutes and classified.
“We are very proud of the E-onCampus solution,” said Rob Fiance, CEO of Trivision. “It serves as a powerful tool facilitating teacher growth and development, as well as teacher retention. Administrators will be able to better groom teachers as mentors, future principals and administrators. Facilitating growth in teacher skills and professional development speaks directly to increasing student academic achievement.”
The Los Angeles Unified School District, with more than 35,000 teachers has piloted E-onCampus Professional Development 1.0.
“Our district has worked closely with TriVision to develop a system to provide valuable professional development information online,” said Kathy Rattay, Director, Professional Development, LAUSD. “Their flexibility and personal touch have made it possible to meet the ever-changing needs of our district.”
E-onCampus Professional Development 1.0 is currently being deployed in California, with national rollout planned for next month. TriVision Technologies plans to extend the E-onCampus platform into special education in early 2002, Fiance said.
“Current legislation has exit exams on everyone’s mind, and we believe that eonCampus is a solution that independent study programs and schools cannot do without,” he added.
