The folks at HorizonLive are showing their Mac compatible HorizonLive e-learning platform at this week’s EDUCAUSE education conference in Indianapolis, IN. The online interactive group learning and collaboration solution has racked up several awards lately.
HorizonLive runs on Macs, PCs and Unix systems. The product recently won the “Best of Breed” among e-learning products, according to published rankings in “US News & World Report.” The rankings were based on a recent report by e-learning analyst Brandon Hall.
HorizonLive’s software provides a method for delivering live presentations over the Internet. It offers an integrated white board, application sharing, and is scalable to over 300 users. The “presenter” side of HorizonLive requires a Mac, Windows or Unix machine with 32MB of RAM and ReallEncoder 5.1 or RealProducer and a Web browser.
Besides taking top honors in the Overall Satisfaction category of the annual e-learning survey, HorizonLive received top billing in five additional product and service categories: ease-of-learning, speed & performance, value-for-price, vendor service, post implementation & vendor service, and installation-to-implementation.
The folks at HorizonLive also sponsor LearningWeek Live, a weekly interactive webcast featuring stories about the people, technology and business of learning today. They’ll be doing a special EDUCAUSE broadcast today.
