Adrenaline Software announced that it is ceasing operations today, “due to difficult current market conditions.” The company advised customers that current orders for copies of Adrenaline Charts Pro 1.5 will be fulfilled, and it encourages customers with concerns about the status of their orders to e-mail them.
Adrenaline Software was founded in 1995. The company’s first product was a spreadsheet and 3D charting application called Adrenaline Numbers & Charts. The software leveraged Apple-specific technologies like OpenDoc and QuickDraw 3D. In a statement made today announcing the company’s closure, Adrenaline Software noted trouble following the discontinuation of Apple’s OpenDoc technology.
“… In addition, Apple Developer Relations offered no marketing support to Adrenaline in order to help the company reposition its software following OpenDoc’s demise,” said the statement, which is posted to Adrenaline’s Web site.
“Adrenaline would like to extend its sincere appreciation to all of you who have supported the company since 1995. The journey was our reward,” said the company.
