The folks at MeetingMaker are spotlighting meetingmaker 7.0.2 at this week’s EDUCAUSE education conference in Indianapolis, IN.
Meetingmaker is a market-driven business tool that offers cross-platform, Internet-based collaborative scheduling. It’s a scalable IP-based system that supports concurrent users on a range of computing platforms. In addition to native clients for Mac (including Mac OS X), Windows and UNIX operating systems, meetingmaker offers a Java client, and Palm synchronization for mobile users of handheld devices.
In order to satisfy Meeting Maker’s business expansion in Europe, version 7.0.2 has been delivered to provide the first localizations of version 7. Meetingmaker 7 is now available in French, German and Dutch. There have also been several enhancements and fixes in response to customer requests. Most of these changes are to the client with only one on the server side.
There’s now full compatibility among version 7.0.1 and 7.0.2 clients and servers. This means that v7.0.1 clients can talk to a 7.0.2 server and a 7.0.1 server will accept 7.0.2 clients. Servers on the same hub must be the same version; in other words, both servers and hubs must be either v7.0.1 or v7.0.2. Also, note that version 7.0.1 servers/clients can’t auto upgrade to the v7.0.2 client.
