article in today’s International Herald Tribune admits columnist Lee Dembart’s concentration on Windows products.
He said that he’s not opposed to running more Mac related articles, but has to set his priorities based on the fact that Apple has 5 percent of the computer marketshare. Dembart said that there’s renewed interest in Mac platform thanks to Mac OS X, as well as the iPod. So he’s offering Mac users a chance to spread the word about our favorite computing platform.
“So let me turn to the Apple enthusiasts in the audience and invite you to tell me and the rest of us what Apple inexplicably doesn’t want to tell us: Why buy a Mac?” Dembart writes. “Send your responses to
email@example.com. But please, let’s have facts, not rants. If you can, include point-by-point comparisons. I am especially interested in hearing from anyone who switched to Apple from a Windows PC. If I receive enough substantive replies, I will share them with readers in a future column.”
So, here’s our chance. Let’s provide Dembart with some substantial information. In fact, cc your e-mails to
MacCentral with “Why Mac?” in the subject line and we’ll summarize the results for a future story. (Thanks to MacCentral reader Grant Thompson for alerting us to Dembart’s column.)
