UK-based Mac reseller MacLine has closed and Macworld UK has the details. Macworld UK reports that MacLine’s senior management is looking for financial backing following the decision of Euler Trade Indemnity (ETI) to alter MacLine’s credit status.
Although officials of MacLine and ETI wouldn’t comment on the record about the Mac reseller’s situation specifically, a spokesperson for ETI told Macworld UK that the economic conditions in the US and UK “mean that all credit insurers are examining their premium levels and exposures.”
MacLine’s woes come a month after another UK-based Mac reseller, Mygate, sold its assets to Cancom.
An official statement concerning MacLine’s situation is expected to come forth today from receivers Begbies Traynor.
