Willow Design has added more cases to its Apple line with two new display carry cases for the 17-inch Studio Display (the case is US$183) and the 22-inch Cinema Display (the case is $250). The company also offers cases for the G4 tower, 15-inch display, the Cube, iBooks and PowerBooks.
“With a line offering 12 different cases and slipcases specifically designed for the iBook and Titanium alone, it made sense to further address the needs of corporate presenters, and others who are forced to lug around the full desktop system,” said Nigel Peck, president of Willow Design. “The cases are not going to make moving the whole system a joy, but, if you have to do it, it’s a lot more civilized.”
Both cases offer protection with dual density foams, extra corrugated plastic reinforcement, hardboard bottoms and bi-direction plastic reinforcement for the display side outer wall. They’re not intended for airline shipping, but excel at being hauled around from presentation to presentation or from office to home, Peck said. The cases feature contoured and multiple reinforced carry handles, contoured shoulder carry straps and luggage feet riveted through the wood on the bottom.
“It makes a big difference being able to set the case down, knowing the case is going to stand upright and out of the muck beside your car,” he added.
