Mac upgrade card maker
has announced price drops of up to US$100 on more than half their line of products. That includes G3 and G4 processor upgrades and other enhancement cards and USB drives.
While the entire list of products with reduced prices is too long to list here, price cuts include the Crescendo/NuBus G3 line, compatible with many first-generation Power Macs; the Crescendo/PCI line, compatible with Power Macs from the 7300 to the 9600, as well as several clones based on the same motherboard architectures; The Crescendo/L2, compatible with several “non-upgradable” Mac models including the 4400, 5400, 5500, 6400, and others; Crescendo/PowerBook 1400 upgrades; Crescendo/PB G3 upgrades; and Encore/ZIF G3 and G4 upgrades; among others.
Also on the list for price reductions are Sonnet’s Tempo ATA100 card, which enables PCI-equipped Macs to support additional ATA internal hard drives; and the Piccolo USB Flash Drive. More details are available from Sonnet’s Web site.
