Dr. Bott, a manufacturer and distributor of Mac peripherals, is now shipping the ADC Extension for Apple’s digital flat panels.
The ADC Extension is Dr. Bott’s answer to an issue with Apple’s flat panels, namely the length of the built-in cable, according to CEO Eric Prentice. Dr. Bott’s ADC Extension adds three meters to the built-in ADC cable for a total length of about 15 feet. ADC Extension allows more options for placement of a Power Mac G4, Prentice said.
ADC Extension is compatible with the Apple 15-inch and 17-inch Studio Displays, the Apple 22-inch Cinema Display and the Formac 1740 Gallery Display. The ADC Extension isn’t compatible with Apple’s discontinued 17-inch CRT monitor. ADC Extension is available immediately for US$59.95.
Dr. Bott has a three-meter DVI extension cable and DVI Extractor — an ADC to DVI connector cable — available for $49.95 and $34.95 respectively.
