To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Walt Disney, game publisher Disney Interactive has announced the release of the new Disney Trivia Challenge CD-ROM game.
In Disney Trivia Challenge, up to four players compete on a Studio Lot game board as they answer trivia questions based on their favorite Disney characters and movies. Categories include Animation, Film, Music, Personalities and Mousellaneous. As players answer questions correctly, they receive tokens for each correctly answered category. They then progress to the Main Category Square to earn a medallion. When medallions in all five categories are award, players can compete in the Champion Square to win the game, becoming a Disney Trivia Champion.
Disney Trivia Challenge features both single and multiplayer modes. In single-player mode, players have to answer as many trivia questions as possible, while in multiplayer contestants compete against each other by answering questions before their competitors can beat them to it. The game features variable difficulty levels that can be set player to player. It also incorporates a Ranking Table so players can compare their knowledge of Disney trivia.
Now available at retail stores nationwide, the Disney Trivia Challenge CD-ROM game ships on hybrid CD-ROM, compatible with both Mac OS and Windows. The game costs US$19.95.
If you’re a big Disney fan, a special Collector’s Edition is also available. The Collector’s Edition includes a numbered certificate of authenticity, 200 extra questions, a Disney Trivia Challenge pin and a lithograph of Walt Disney drawing “Steamboat Willy.” The game also includes and a special voice-over recorded by Roy E. Disney, Walt’s Nephew. Production of the Collector’s Edition is limited to 5,000 units and is available exclusively by phone order at 800.275.0514.
